AP Acknowledges Its Bias
After pressure from those seeking some impartiality and objectivity in the media protested, the Associated Press issued a correction after it cleaned up President Obama's speech to cover up a gaffe. The president - who once claimed there were 57 states - again showed off his keen geography skills by moving Jacksonville, Fla., across the state to the Atlantic Ocean. Rather than publish anything accurate that might reflect poorly on the president, the AP corrected the quotes to make it appear Obama did not make the geographic flub.
